- Job Summary:
Tesla’s business operates on homegrown ERP application that encompasses verticals such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Financials, Sales and Service. As we increase our footprints with newer products, the need to automate sales/use tax in our systems becomes even more necessary. Considering this, the Indirect Tax Technology group seeks a Senior Business Analyst who is seasoned in cross functional business processes and is strong in IT methodologies. This position will primarily support the Indirect Tax System and its integration with Order to Cash and Procure to pay systems. He/she will work closely with the U.S. Indirect Tax group, Global Indirect Tax partners, Controllership and Finance, and IT teams.
2-3 years of prior experience as Systems Analyst or Indirect Tax Technology Analyst.
Must have experience in implementing/supporting tax technology products, such as OneSource, Vertex, Corp Tax and other similar tax software.
Must have experience with SQL and Business Process Modeling tools such as MS Visio
Expertise in key deliverables such as Project Plans, Business Requirement Documents, Functional requirements, Use Cases, System Sequence Diagrams
Ability to support multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to design an effective solution
Ability to explain financial/technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses.
Strong communicational skills, organizational skills, negotiation skills, and flexibility to address competing demands.
Working knowledge of data management software like Alteryx, using PowerBI or other ETL tools a plus
Experience with bug/enhancement tracking system like JIRA a plus
Sales/use tax, gross receipts tax compliance and audit experience a plus.
Required Education in Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics of equivalent and Minor in Information Technology
