We’re looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager that understand business needs for a wide range of products and map out how data can be leveraged as an enabler. You will drive the strategic direction and roadmap for Data and Machine Learning inside Spotify’s Platform & Partner Experience (PPX) tribe. PPX is responsible for the Spotify consumer experience beyond the Spotify mobile app spanning TVs, speakers, desktop, cars, wearables and everywhere else you find Spotify.

In the Data & ML Area in PPX, we are data advocates and look across the five Product Areas. Our mission is to provide high-quality data products that cover the entire Spotify space outside of mobile and make them useful to teams across Spotify. We also foster a strong data culture by educating and empowering teams to build richer Spotify experiences using Data and ML.

What You’ll Do

  • Craft and evolve a product vision, strategy, roadmap and metrics that helps serve the data needs in our tribe.
  • Work closely with Product and Data Science Leads in our department to identify and address gaps in our Data & ML offerings with the goal of providing high quality data and enabling teams to build richer user experiences with Data and ML.
  • Gather feedback and requirements for data needs within our tribe’s scope.
  • Act as product lead for data initiatives across the tribe, engaging with relevant stakeholders and peers across the company.
  • Clearly communicate product plans, context and results to your teams and the rest of the organization.
  • Serve as a product evangelist for data internally and externally, learning and growing in the space within and beyond Spotify.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers in our area to foster a culture of impact and performance in the teams.
  • Work passionately to ensure your teams are focusing on the right things, balancing short versus long term needs. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify.
  •

    Who You Are

  • You have a long experience with data driven product development and a technical background, either as an engineer or data scientist/analyst or a product manager owning a data platform/product.

  • Strong data analytics background and you are comfortable manipulating data with business intelligence tools like Tableau or similar, and writing queries using SQL.
  • Ability to champion data literacy within an organization and get buy-in for data initiatives.
  • You are a teammate with proven ability to work cross functionally. You get stuff done and help your teams reaching their goals too!
  • You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, communicating concepts and ideas in different formats.
  • You have an ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction.
  • Bonus: Understanding of technical architecture, data modeling and schema design.
  •

    Where you’ll be

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
  • Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located that time zone.
