We are currently recruiting for a number of data science roles within the Spotify Ads Platform team. This team builds and maintains our various ad formats, and the systems that enable these ad formats. We answer questions such as, when is the best time to serve an ad, what is the best ad for this user at this time, how does this ad impact the user experience, and more. Our goal is to create an exciting ad experience for our listeners, while also bringing values to our advertisers. We are looking for experienced Data Scientists to join us at the Senior Data Scientist/ Data Scientist level.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with cross-functional team of engineers, user researcher, product owners, designers and business decisions makers to shape product strategy and the future of nascent products and features
Plan, prioritize and perform analyses on large datasets to extract actionable insights, to understand user experience and behavior, and use these insights to inform product development
Design, implement and analyze A/B tests to optimize user and advertiser metrics through efficient experimentation
Effectively communicate data-driven insights and provide recommendations to key partners
Create data science projects roadmaps to provide strategic direction aligned with product teams goals
Who You Are
You have experience in a similar data science role and a degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative subject areas
You have technical competence to perform advanced analytics: coding skills for analytics and data extraction (such as SQL, Python, Pandas, R), data visualization skills to distill insights (such as Tableau, ggplot) and statistical analysis skills to tease out patterns from noise
You have experience in A/B testing, ideally in a product setting
You value cross-disciplinary work and understand how to integrate qualitative research with your quantitative analysis
You have experience using data analysis to identify key user behaviors, product trends and new product opportunities
You effectively communicate with a wide range of cross-functional partners: you able to both explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and have technical discussions with engineers
You are comfortable with ambiguity and fluidity: you are able to initiate, refine and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance, adapting to new learnings and changing contexts
Based on your experience and expertise we will match to one of the two levels during the interview process: Senior Data Scientist or Data Scientist
