As Spotify continues its goal of becoming the world’s number one audio platform, the number and diversity of revenue streams are increasing as well, both in terms of scale and complexity. Composer is a product area consisting of 7 squads tasked with delivering innovative solutions to enable quicker go-to-market at the same time ensuring that financial transactions are accurately and automatically processed. You will join a team responsible for building the financial infrastructure as part of a commerce platform. We are looking for a seasoned data engineer that is able to use a variety of technologies to build stable solutions for complex data problems.
What you’ll do:
Build solutions using a variety of data sources.
Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform and technology.
Build scalable batch data processing systems.
Work in an agile environment, in coordination with New York and Stockholm teams.
Who you are:
Proficient in Scala and/or Java.
Well versed in the SQL language and databases.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Google data products (Bigquery, Dataflow, CloudSql).
You are a self-motivated individual contributor and great teammate with the ability to multitask, prioritize and communicate progress in a rapidly changing environment.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
Experience in the financial domain is a plus.
