This strategic, technical and operational opportunity will be responsible for leading and recruiting a team of logistics cost professionals focused on building a robust and scalable PFEP strategy ultimately tied to Lucid’s planned Transportation Management System (TMS) including a freight audit and bill pay module within solution.

This highly technical role will develop cost capture coding, rollup, accruals, budgeting, fixed vs variable cost modeling, warehouse facility decision logic, service constraints and scenario analysis.  Opportunity will design processes, streamline daily tactical requirements via systems integration and EDI/API, perform deep-dive data analytics, KPI reporting, training and communication to key stakeholders to ensure alignment.

 

You Will:

 

  • Be Technical SME with Excel – including solver, financial modeling, simulation, pivot tables, VBA, macros, advanced formulas, charting, data power query, tables and formatting as well as SAP SME for AP, FI and TMS modules – including mapping and table maintenance.
  • Partner with Lucid’s internal logistics ops, external providers, indirect purchasing, finance, trade compliance, cost acct., logistics compliance and various internal stakeholder to align on cost capture, payment coding, cost mitigation, budgeting/forecasting and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and evolve the current fragmented model to scale for future volumes/complexities.
  • Help lead Lucid’s evolution of logistics systems such as TMS, YMS and Outbound shipping tools employed tied to costing, audit and bill payment.
  • You’ll partner with Finance and Indirect Souring to select best-of-breed IT solutions and present ROI justification.
  • Role will crossover to include operational auditing to help drive cost opportunities.

    You Bring:

     

  • History of successfully building and leading a logistics team; previous start-up automotive finance experience is a plus.
  • SAP SME for Cost Acct./ Finance & Logistics processes – Opex, Capex, COGS & budgeting.
  • Inquisitive, personable, continuous improvement focused, organized, strategic mindset with a vision of scaling solutions for the future, data-driven and willing to take calculated risks.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience with designing and implementation of Logistics Cost KPI’s preferred.
  • Previous experience with SAP IBD (Inbound Delivery) iDoc’s and TMS implementation tied to an ERP system re: SAP highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with cost data mapping and regression testing requirements related to TMS / SAP integration project(s) very desirable.
  • Previous warehousing cost, 3PL/4PL and FedEx commercial relationship and contract experience very helpful.
  • Understanding of cost reporting and rollup for duties and taxes related to international shipping.
