About This Role
As a perception engineer you will be responsible for key components of our autonomy subsystems. You will work on a highly focused team developing production software that powers the next generation of our autonomous vehicles operating in complex indoor and outdoor environments.




  • Formulate, implement, and deploy object detection and tracking algorithms for our autonomous vehicles
  • Develop software tooling and infrastructure for continuous testing, performance validation, and system diagnostics
  • Test and deploy production software in simulation environments as well as on production vehicles
  • Balance project tasks, code reviews, and research to meet product-driven milestones in a fast-paced startup environment



  • MS/Phd in computer science, robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Hands-on experience with computer vision and/or machine learning projects using data from LiDAR and/or cameras
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

    Bonus Qualifications


  • Proficiency in Python
  • Strong understanding of techniques in state estimation/sensor fusion and SLAM
  • Experience developing automated sensor calibration and sensor misalignment algorithms
  • Participation in academic or industry research such as white papers and/or publications in peer reviewed journals
